Between our two labs we will now investigate how bacterial repair exonuclease, ExoVII, is recognising and repairing protein-DNA crosslinks following fluoroquinolone treatment. Fluoroquinolones such as ciprofloxacin remain some of the most prescribed and most effective antibiotics, and it is very important we understand their mechanisms of action
