This graphics done by Alina Kurokhtina was selected for a cover image of January Nature Catalysis issue. Albicidin work took two years, and this is something I was thinking about since my PhD. It is an extremely potent gyrase inhibitor (nM) and the mode of action is entirely novel. It would have been impossible to solve this structure without cryo-EM - big thanks to the SOLARIS team in Poland that collected most of the data!
